It’s been revealed that Bungie will be dropping Grimoire Cards in Destiny 2, a move that’s not only wise but long overdue. Fans who play the acclaimed online shooter will know that these cards hide much of the game’s lore, and they’re remarkably intriguing and collectively in-depth.
One complaint that has been pushed forward since Destiny was released, was that these cards were locked to the Destiny website. Meaning if you unlocked one and wanted to read up on it, you would have to head on over to the official site and read up on the lore.
Well this will be a thing of the past, because all of the lore you’re getting in Destiny 2 will be found in-game. Here’s a statement from world lead Steve Cotton, which was issued in response to Forbes.
The answer to that question is ‘no’ and the reason it’s ‘no’ is because we want to put the lore in the game. We want people to be able to find the lore. All the story is told through the Adventures, it’s told through the characters in the world, it’s told through the campaign and it’s told through scannables you find throughout the world.
