Take-Two Interactive Software have announced that they have purchased the physics-based space sim Kerbal Space Program.

“We have been impressed with Kerbal Space Program since its launch, and we are committed to grow this unique experience while continuing to support its passionate community. We view Kerbal Space Program as a new, long-term franchise that adds a well-respected and beloved IP to Take-Two’s portfolio as we continue to explore opportunities across the independent development landscape.” – Michael Worosz of Take-Two

What does this mean for the future of the sim? It’s a guess for anyone right now, but one thing is for certain, the future is looking bright.
