Sea of Thieves Gets an Update to Address Weapon Balancing and More

Sea of Thieves received a new patch today that fixed some known issues along with fine tuning weapon balance. The Blunderbuss damage has been decreased, whereas a damage increase has been given to the Eye of Reach. On top of this, a message from the Ferryman has been nailed to the door post on the Ferry of the Damned instructing players on how to scuttle their ship.

Furthermore, Rare has revealed that Server Shutdown notices will now come with a minimum 30 minute warning, which is far more suitable than the previous 5 minute warning. The issue in which players couldn’t pull a secondary weapon has also been resolved, along with a few other minor issues and PC specific issues, outlined right here.

Rare revealed last week that they are aiming to reveal post launch content plans for the game this week, and as soon as we find out what that entails, we’ll let you know.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead Trailer Features Another Playable Character

Starbreeze, Skybound Entertainment and 505 Games have released the next cinematic character trailer for OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead, from developer OVERKILL – A Starbreeze Studio. This new video reveals Maya, the second of the game’s four playable heroes. Like Aidan, the first character announced last December, Maya has been changed by the end of the world, where only those willing to fight by any means necessary have a hope to survive against the constant threat of the living and the dead.

Set in a post-apocalyptic Washington, D.C., OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a mission-based, four-player co-op multiplayer FPS inspired by the danger, action and terror of Robert Kirkman’s original graphic novels. Players must band together using a combination of stealth tactics and brute force on a variety of raids and missions, securing supplies and survivors to defend their home and stay alive.

Each playable character has their own special abilities, skill trees, squad roles, play styles and background stories – smash through hordes of walkers with the heavy-hitting Aidan, or keep your friends alive with Maya, a former surgeon.

OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is expected to launch this fall on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Check out the trailer below.

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption Arrives on Console and PC This Year

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption, the boss battler from publisher Another Indie and developer Dark Star Game Studios, will launch on Nintendo Switch alongside the previously announced PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows and Mac versions. All platforms will receive a simultaneous launch in Q3 2018.

Dark Star Game Studios is composed of AAA veterans including a former Ubisoft art director, Konami senior programmer and a Blizzard technical artist.

To atone for his wicked crimes, Adam, a soldier with a dark past, must set out on a quest for redemption and face off against monstrous enemies based on the seven deadly sins. His vile deeds and history with these beasts will unfold as he draws closer to absolution.

Sacrifice a part of Adam before each duel and receive a permanent debuff, resulting in reduced health, strength or equipment for the entirety of the journey. Each battle will become tougher than the last as debuffs stack, but new gear can be obtained by successfully conquering trials.

If all hope is lost, revive a defeated enemy to regain a sacrificed attribute and revisit the battle later. Experiment to find the optimal path to redemption or take on all debuffs simultaneously from the start for a challenging and rewarding journey.

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption will be available for $18.99 in English, Spanish, German, French, Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Russian.

Coffee Crisis is Due for Xbox One Sometime this Month

Coffee Crisis was originally Kickstarted circa early 2016-2017 by a bunch of retro-renaissance idolizing backers who now have their hands on a boxed Sega Genesis/ Mega Drive build of the game.

Since then, the team has been working to port the side-scrolling brawler to PC and Xbox One with features exclusive to these. Penned in collaboration with Pittsburgh based Black Forge Coffee House baristas Nick/Ashley, Coffee Crisis follows the duo in 2D arcade fashion as they attempt to quell an alien invasion that wants a little more than earth’s wi-fi. Exclusive features include:

– Death Metal Combat, where the lights turn ‘disco’, the enemies spawn erratically, cheat codes don’t work, and random modifiers unexpectedly hurt/help/distort the player for increased difficulty level maximum. Play through the single player campaign once to unlock.

– Twitch/Mixer Integration. Silent coffee-house type? Call the shots on your favorite streamers by deciding which modifiers are applied to their publicly-broadcast sessions.

– Coffee Beans. Mash those buttons with enough dexterity per level and you just might earn yourself a discount on a Coffee Crisis cartridge.

We’re not sure when the game will arrive, but we’re assured that it will launch sometime this month. Check out the trailer to see the game firsthand.

DragoDino Comes to Xbox One This Month

A few months after its release on Steam, DragoDino comes out on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One the 27th April 2018 and will be in pre-order from the 13th April 2018.

DragoDino is a roguelike with an original gameplay based on a simple goal: climb up. The player plays an intelligent reptile with super powers to jump higher and higher, create platforms and shoot powerful energy balls. He must learn to master those abilities to successfully reach the top of every levels and beat the hostile creatures who will try to stop it.

Through the levels, Power Ups are allocated so that the player improves its abilities and gets new powers. They can be stored or used immediately so the player can chose its strategy depending on its game style and hope to beat the merciless bosses. Take a peek.

Robocraft Infinity Available Now – Straight Into Game Pass

Independent games studio Freejam announce that their first console release Robocraft Infinity has launched exclusively for Xbox One and is currently available via the official Xbox Games Store for $19.99 / £14.99 / €19.99.

Robocraft Infinity is the first independently developed title to launch straight into Xbox Game Pass and empowers players to build awesome robots block-by-block, share their creations online and take them into fast-paced 5 vs 5 battles with their friends.

Jet cars, tanks, flying warships, helicopters, drones, dinosaurs, scorpions – anything is possible to build and no two battles are ever the same, as you never know what foe you will face next.

Additionally all those that play Robocraft Infinity during launch month (April) will also receive an exclusive Retro Pilot Seat cosmetic. This is a way of Freejam thanking all early adopters for their support, regardless of whether they have purchased Robocraft Infinity outright or played the game via Xbox Game Pass.

Ritual From iFun4All Studio Announced

Ritual is a new project by iFun4All, the developer behind such titles as ‘Serial Cleaner’, ‘Green Game: TimeSwapper’ and ‘Red Game Without a Great Name.’ The game is being developed for PCs and consoles in mind.

Ritual is a 3D dark action game in a top-down perspective set in a dangerous world inspired by Weird West genre. The story focuses on the young bounty hunter who receives the task of escorting an eccentric girl to her family home. A simple mission turns into an endless journey over increasingly grotesque places, besieged every night by unearthly monsters. The hero must defend the girl from hordes of enemies, not knowing if she is the way to escape from this hellish situation, or the reason for it.

In addition to various weapons an arsenal of traps, supporting potions, building materials to create barricades and ammunition will be at the player’s disposal. Almost all of those need to be crafted using the environment and objects found on the map. However, the ability to quickly pull the trigger is not enough to survive, it will be necessary to make tactical decisions and strategically manage available resources. The game will use real-world data technology (RWD), which will influence the game in a unique way.

Fortnite’s 50v50 is Back, Port-a-Fort and Replay Mode is Live in Update 3.5

Epic Games has introduced a brand new feature for Battle Royale, Replay. With a suite of cinematic settings you can now capture your most memorable moments, highlights and cinematics. There’s also the chance to win “phenomenal prizes” with the Replay system, with more details coming at a later date.

The Port-a-Fort item will also be live, as seen in the video below. This item allows you to fortify yourself in seconds, all with the flick of a wrist. It’s a lot bigger than I would have guessed it to be. Furthermore, the fan favorite 50v50 limited time mode is back in action. Those that favor Save the World will be happy to know that Survive the Storm is back.

There’s a slew of small fixes too, for both Save the World and Battle Royale. You can check out the patch notes over on the official website, right here.

Miramar (and other improvements) Hitting Xbox Test Servers in April

PUBG Corp. has announced that the long awaited Miramar map, alongside some improvements, will arrive in the Xbox Test Servers for PUBG in April. The devs state that:

After extensive efforts, we’ve been able to get Miramar ready for Xbox. Miramar will be coming to test servers before the end of April, and we expect it’ll hit live servers sometime in May.

Expect to also see new and improved designs for out-of-game menus and screens. The update is necessary to prepare our servers for when event matches and custom matches are introduced later on.

Finally, improving crashes is our highest priority. Simply put, stability is the most basic element that determines gameplay quality, so we’re taking it seriously and focusing on it with every patch. All of these changes will hit the test server first so we can make sure the above-mentioned optimizations run well before pushing them to live.

It’s great to see that the devs are so committed to improving the core experience, as well as adding in new content. Hopefully the process is smooth and fluid, but if there’s any hiccups, we’ll keep you informed. Standby for more.
