Ubisoft Teases Splinter Cell Wildlands Crossover

There’s no denying that fans are gagging for some more Splinter Cell goodness, and despite the rumored Splinter Cell 2018, Ubisoft hasn’t officially announced it as of yet. Though, by the looks of a new Ghost Recon Wildlands trailer today, it appears as though we’re about to get something to tie us over until (presumably) E3 2018.

The trailer seen below is super vague, and the description simply reads “when duty calls, he answers”, but I think we can firmly agree that that’s none other than Sam Fisher. Ubisoft has stated that a full briefing will be set loose on April 9th, until then, I guess we’ll just have to sit on our hands.

Crossout: ‘Battle Royale’ Mode Now Available

Targem Games and Gaijin Entertainment have introduced a new PvP game mode to the post-apocalyptic vehicle shooter Crossout, called ‘Battle Royale’. 32 players will fight against each other on the new map ‘Blood Rocks’, which they will search for weapons and equipment to improve their starting vehicle with. Only the last man standing will be able to leave this cruel tournament alive.

At the beginning of battle, all players are facing the same starting conditions. Driving only a light buggy without any weapons or equipment, they have to search the battlefield for useful items such as chainsaws, rocket launchers, cloaking devices and more. As soon as an item is picked up, it is attached to the own vehicle immediately, which can support up to two firearms, one melee weapon and one auxiliary module in total. Installed modules can be swapped at any time for the many other items that can be found through the battle.

The special buggies used in this ‘royal battle’ come with an extra sturdy frame, which means that players won’t be able to shoot of the wheels as in usual Crossout battles. To neutralize an opponent in this mode, the vehicle has to be destroyed entirely. Extra supplies can also be found around the map, which include additional ammunition for weapons, or repair kits to restore vehicle strength after a skirmish.

The new map, ‘Blood Rocks’, is the largest playable location in Crossout to date and is 16 times larger than the average PvP map available in game. It features networks of caves, large areas with ruined buildings and other constructions of the old world, offering an abundance of shelters to hide in – but only for a very short time. Creeping ever closer over the horizon is a massive sandstorm, which constantly decreases the playable area. Any vehicle caught in its ravenous maw will be turned into shreds in mere seconds, and its unpredictable movement means that you never know which area of the map will be affected last.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead May Not Feature Iconic Characters

Details about Overkill’s The Walking Dead are still thin on the ground, but today, thanks to VideoGamer, we now have a firm idea as to what to expect post launch.

The studio has indeed confirmed that they plan to support the game with post launch content, as per feedback gathered from the game’s community. Overkill’s Director of Global Development, Saul Gascon, states that:

So, our plan…is we will launch the game and then we will keep adding content for the game as soon as the community requests stuff, and we expect them to be very demanding.

The studio has also revealed that they have no plans to feature iconic characters from the source material, but add that they’re not ruling anything out. No doubt we’ll hear and see more of this game running up to E3 2018. Overkill’s The Walking Dead will arrive on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One this year.

Ubisoft Opening a New Office in Winnipeg

Opening in Fall 2018, Ubisoft Winnipeg is the newest addition to the Ubisoft Canadian studios family, a collective of AAA game development teams dedicated to creating immersive, engaging worlds for our players around the world.

Ubisoft Winnipeg will play a strategic role within the collective with a focus to develop tools and technology to power many of the most successful Ubisoft brands.

There’s just not stopping Ubisoft, and what an interesting year it’s been for them so far. Not only have they opened new offices in Mumbai, India and Odessa, Ukraine, but they’re now finally free from the clutches of Vivendi. I think it’s safe to say that they’re on a roll.

Far Cry 5 Allegedly Sells Nearly 5 Million Copies in its First Week

According to a report from The Jefferies Group, Far Cry 5 has already almost surpassed five million sales in its first week alone. To compare, Far Cry 4 sold eight million copies during its first year, so this is one hell of an impressive accolade to say the least.

Ubisoft hasn’t yet disclosed any sales figures, but we suspect this will change in the coming days. After all, these stats are certainly something to brag about, that much goes without saying. It’s also worth taking into account that until Ubisoft reveal the specifics, we should take this with a pinch of salt.

Far Cry 5 is one hell of an open world shooter and has gone down well with the crowd, among both fans and critics alike. If you’re yet to try this out, it’s well worth your time and attention.

Monster Hunter: World – Spring Blossom Fest is Now Live

The Monster Hunter: World Spring Blossom Fest is now live, it’s time to celebrate the first seasonal event in the Gathering Hub with fun daily rewards, new dances, new food, and fireworks.

Capcom has released a brand new trailer, seen at the head of this article, showcasing the event. On top of the event, Capcom has also released the event and challenge quest schedule, updated until April 19th. You can check that out right here, available in a wide band of different languages.

Tyr: Chains of Valhalla Announced for Console and PC via New Trailer

Tyr: Chains of Valhalla is inspired by Norse mythology, more precisely, the Ragnarök! In a technological world where humanity depends on mega-corporations like Yggdrasil, big companies know no limits, competing for the global monopoly, and Robots are at the order of the day, someone has to put a balance in the city. Tyr, creation of Professor Oswald Din, a.k.a. O.Din, has the mission to prevent Lemuz Oki, a.k.a. L.Oki, destroy the world order and create a new realm of chaos to seize the biggest technology company, as well s control the entire world.

Tyr, with the help of Huginn and Muninn(“thought” and “memory”) and his faithful Sleipnir, he will take the summit of Valhalla to stop the evil plans of L.Oki and his group of Vikings and Robots. In a nordic cyberpunk universe where the struggle between big corporations destroys the world as we know it, a hero must bring order in this world. In Tyr: Chains of Valhalla you can meet the climax and impetus of the Ragnarök seen from a cyberpunk perspective. The game is set to arrive for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, later this year.

Metal Gear Sold 3-Themed Event Launches for Metal Gear Survive on April 10th

Konami has announced that a special Metal Gear Sold 3-themed co-op event will launch for Metal Gear Survive on April 10th.

The Encounter 1964 features recognizable elements and fatigues from Snake Eater and will run for two weeks as part of the ongoing addition of new co-op missions for Survive.

Items such as the iconic Crocodile Cap, camo fatigues worn by Naked Snake and EVA’s jumpsuit can be added to the user’s avatar, while a new cassette detailing the Shagohod can also be found. Standby for more.

Undead Horde Comes to Console Next Year

Undead Horde is an original action adventure where you are a Necromancer capable of raising the dead. You’ll battle against the evil humans who’ve driven the necromancers and their undead minions into exile.

You’ll re-animate all kinds of creatures and build an army of up to 100 undead. Your army follows you or attacks by itself depending on your commands. The more powerful you become, the more undead you can raise and control. Most enemies you meet and vanquish are potential additions to your gathering force.

10Tons plans to bring the game to PC later this year, with console versions to follow suit in early 2019. Check out some pre-alpha footage below to see the game in action.

Pinbrawl is Coming to Xbox One and PC

Who needs to be a pinball wizard when you can be an intergalactic pinball gladiator? Pinbrawl – coming to Xbox One and PC later this year – is a bizarre and chaotic reimagining of the way pinball is played, transforming it from a solitary experience into a 3D, local multiplayer brawl. Players use the most iconic elements from classic pinball – like paddles and bumpers – to smash the ball past their rival’s defenses.

Pinbrawl pits up to four players against each other on multi-sided pinball tables as Pinbrawlers – wobbly, wacky critters from across the galaxy. Harness the momentum of your flailing Pinbrawler to smack the ball through your friends’ flippers and score! Pinbrawl expands the concept of Pinball into a three-dimensional experience, with enhanced verticality that allows players to hit the ball over enemy flippers, not just through them.

Customize your battles with a cute cast of eight playable characters, eight charming stages, and a variety of thrilling game modes. This innovative gameplay, combined with the vibrant and whimsical art style, sets it apart from any other multiplayer experience.
