Ubisoft Details the Splinter Cell Wildlands Crossover Event
Last week Ubisoft revealed a Splinter Cell Wildlands event and the internet exploded. Well, not literally, but you get the idea. Today, however, Ubisoft has detailed exactly what we can expect to see. First and foremost, Ghost Recon Wildlands will be free to download and enjoy as part of the Free Play Days on Xbox Live, running April 12th until April 15th.
Ghost Recon Wildlands begins its second year of post-launch content starting April 10, when the first of four major free updates, called Special Operations I, goes live for players who own the game on Xbox One. Adding new items, missions, and features, each Special Operations update will bring a substantial amount of new content, both for the campaign and for the Ghost War PvP mode – and the first update includes an appearance from Splinter Cell’s Sam Fisher, which you can try for free this weekend along with the rest of the game.
Voiced again by series veteran Michael Ironside, Sam appears during a new mission in which the Ghosts help him infiltrate an enemy camp at night, protect him from waves of enemies while he hacks a terminal, and then help extract him to a rallying point. Pull it off, and you’ll earn special rewards, including Sam’s classic three-lensed night-vision goggles.
The first update, Special Operations I, also adds the ability to customize the appearance of your AI companions in single-player, while on the PvP side, you’ll get a new mode – Sabotage, which comes with five exclusive maps – as well as a new Ghost War class. While the Special Operations updates are free, players can secure seven-day early access to the new Ghost War classes by purchasing the Year 2 pass for $29.99, which also includes a customization pack, four Special Ops crates, and four Ghost War crates, all of which add more customization options to the campaign and multiplayer.
Players can check out the all important patch notes right here, and in the meantime, take a look at the brand new trailer below to see the content firsthand.

PUBG Desert Map ‘Miramar’ Coming to Xbox One in May
PUBG Corp. has revealed that the Miramar map is coming to Xbox One versions of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in May. We’re not sure exactly when this map will make its way over, but as soon as we know the specifics, we’ll be sure to let you know.
Miramar is the 2nd playable map for the game, the same size as Erangel, Miramar is a 8x8km city-centric map with a open desert plain and rural areas. Check out the announcement tweet below.

GTA V Reaches a New and Impressive Milestone
GTA V’s success is hardly breaking news, but this new milestone is certainly something to brag about. According to MarketWatch, GTA V is now the highest grossing entertainment product, ever.
Over 90 million copies of GTA V has been sold worldwide, amounting to roughly $6 billion in revenue since 2013. This not only makes it the most successful game of all time, but as aforementioned, the most successful entertainment product, which includes TV, Film and Music too.
There’s no doubt that the game’s online model has helped this success, but in any case, I think it’s safe to say that Rockstar will be deservedly pleased with themselves.
Frostpunk Confirmed for Consoles
11 Bit Studios has confirmed that their upcoming Frostpunk will indeed be coming to console too, possibly even this year. We don’t have a solid release date to offer up, but word on the street suggests that the developer is aiming for the end of the year.
Frostpunk is the first game of society survival. In an ultimately frozen world, people develop steam-powered technology to oppose the overwhelming cold. The city ruler has to manage both the inhabitants and the infrastructure the citizens live in.
Here optimization and resource management often clash with empathy and thoughtful decision-making. While city and society management consume most of the ruler’s time, at some point exploration of outside world is necessary to understand its history and present state. What decisions will you make so the society can survive? What will you do when pushed to the limits? And…who will you become in the process?
It’s an interest concept, that much goes without saying. Stay tuned and as soon as we learn of a console release date, we’ll be sure to let you know.
Hand of Fate 2 on Console Gets a Free Endless Mode Soon
Hand of Fate 2, the action-RPG from Defiant Development that blends roguelike dungeon crawling, tabletop roleplaying and collectible card games, offers never-ending escapades to PC gamers with today’s free addition of endless mode. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will be dealt in next month.
Endless Mode offers competitive players a chance to battle for the top spot on the leaderboards via infinitely replayable quests that get progressively difficult with each level. More difficult enemies are shuffled into the dealer’s deck and random pain or curse cards are dealt upon completion of each stage. To support the release of endless mode, Defiant has added a plethora of new adventures, collectible token shards, enemies and narrative branches to the core encounters, ensuring that no two dungeon runs are exactly alike.
In addition to Endless Mode, Defiant Development has a few more aces up its sleeve in the form of upcoming DLC. New companions, challenges and more are planned for the remainder of the year.
More Gameplay Revealed for Action Packed Racer ONRUSH
Codemasters recently hosted a livestream for their upcoming action packed racer, ONRUSH. The game is said to rewrite the rules of racing, throwing players into a competition where fun is just as important as the fight for first.
The stream, seen below, showcases a heap of fresh gameplay. It’s well worth checking out if this game has already caught your attention. Codemasters also revealed that a Beta will take place in May, ahead of its June launch date. More details regarding the Beta will be shared at a later date. Take a peek.
MXGP PRO Officially Announced With New Trailer
Milestone, announce that MXGP PRO will be available on June 29th 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and on Windows PC/STEAM.
MXGP PRO is a brand-new start, designed to meet the need of the most demanding fans to relive the real spirit of Motocross. Based on the community feedback, the title has been redefined following what Milestone’s developers call the “mechanical” approach: players will be able to setup each single parameter of their bike based on real values and metrics.
All the knowledge of the past titles in the MXGP franchise come to life in this new, redefined videogame which enhances the experience of the racing by refining the entire approach and the gameplay.
To make the game experience even more unique, Milestone closed an exclusive partnership with Tim Gajser, Tony Cairoli, Gautier Paulin; and thanks to their suggestions, the developers succeed in reaching a surprising level of realism. Tim Gajser explained how to have fun whipping, scrubbing, and passing through whoops sections, while Tony Cairoli gave his feedback on Start & Braking Precision, including how to take advantage of the Starting Grid and brake precisely. Finally, Gautier Paulin advised on controlling the ruts and taking corners at top speed.
Each professional player, after securing the most powerful bike aligned with his riding style, needs to train in the mud to be ready to face any circuits in any weather conditions. This is the reason why the Compound in MXGP Pro becomes a much larger practice area, a free space to train and develop driving skills on any kind of terrain, from the flattest to the roughest ones. We’ve included the newly released trailer at the head of this post for you to check out.
