Far Cry 5 Live Action Trailer Released and Microtransactions Info

One week before Far Cry 5 launches on March 27th, Ubisoft reveals a new live-action trailer titled “The Sermon”. Watch the Father keep his flock on the right path, and the rest of Hope County too. After all, when it’s about saving souls, the end eventually justifies the means.

Far Cry 5 is said to offer unprecedented freedom, action-packed gameplay, and a plot that rivals that of any of its predecessors. I have to admit, everything we’ve seen so far points to a very promising experience. Check out the live action trailer above, and ready up for launch.

In other Far Cry 5 news, Ubisoft has confirmed that the game will indeed have microtransactions, but these will be for cosmetic items only. Players will have the option to speed up progression with microtransactions, but Ubisoft has indeed confirmed that they will not affect actual gameplay.

This isn’t too dissimilar to Assassin’s Creed Origins, to which the balance was very well set and not at all invasive. It’s also been confirmed that the game will offer Xbox One X-enhancements to support 1800p resolution and improved frame rate. Standby for more.

The Crew 2 Offers a First Look at Harley Davidson Iron 883

Yesterday, Ubisoft revealed the new release date for the massively anticipated The Crew 2, and today, there’s another surprise in store. Among The Crew 2’s extensive car, bike, boat, and plane line-up, the Harley Davidson Iron 883 stands out as a one of the most distinct choices on offer. Vehicle Designer Frederic Marchetti states that:

The Iron 883 is one of Harley-Davidson’s most popular motorcycles worldwide, with its characteristic blacked-out, stripped down style. Like with all of our licensed vehicles, re-creating the Iron 883 took meticulous work from our design team to make sure the in-game version of the bike is 100% faithful to the original. We’ve had a very tight relationship with the Harley-Davidson team from the get-go; they shared the bike’s technical specs with us, and stayed in touch throughout the whole modeling process.

A sweet and short trailer has been unleashed to showcase the Harley Davidson Iron 883 in all of its glory, as seen below. The Crew 2 is set to touch down on June 29th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Leaked

It appears as though a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remaster is on the cards, if a recent listing on Amazon Italy is to be believed. Until Activision announce this officially, it’s best to take this with a pinch of salt. If true, it’s likely that this will be bundled with the Special Edition bonus for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Though it’s worth pointing out that the listing does out this game as a standalone purchase, for the cheap cost of €19.99. That would make sense, seeing as Activision came under fire from the community due to how the Modern Warfare Remaster was handled, being that it was exclusive to Special Editions of Infinite Warfare for an entire year, and was double the asking price of the aforementioned listing. We’ll be sure to keep a close eye on this one.

SEGA to Announce New Sonic Projects at SXSW

Today at SXSW in Austin, Texas, SEGA will be hosting a panel to announce upcoming projects based on the beloved Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The panel, titled “Gotta Go Fast: The Official Sonic the Hedgehog Panel” will take place today, March 16 at 20:30 PM GMT/ 21:30 PM CET and will be livestreamed on the official SXSW Twitch channel here.

Panelists include Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka, Sonic Social Media Manager Aaron Webber, Sonic Product Development Director Austin Keys, Sonic Mania Animation Director Tyson Hesse and TV Animation Production Coordinator Jasmin Hernandez. The team will discuss the future of the franchise, and some exciting new projects and collaborations.

Star Wars Battlefront II Revamped Progression is Coming Soon

A major Star Wars Battlefront II update is cleared for take off! Since release, the devs have been hard at work making changes based on your feedback to create a better game for all players. Today, it’s been announced that the Star Wars Battlefront II Progression update, which includes a complete re-design of the in-game progression system, will begin rolling out on 21st March. The devs state that:

These changes are a major step as we continue to improve the core of the game and add new content. And there’s a lot more to come. In addition to continued balance patches, we will also add a number of modes to Star Wars Battlefront II in the coming months, offering several standout, brand-new ways to play. Some of these, like the recently released limited-time Jetpack Cargo, are radically different than anything you’ve experienced in the game before, and we’re excited to surprise you with what we have planned.

Some important info to keep in mind has been shared with us, so if you enjoy playing the game, take note of the following, taken straight from the horse’s mouth:

– With this update, progression is now linear. Star Cards, or any other item impacting gameplay, will only be earned through gameplay and will not be available for purchase. Instead, you’ll earn experience points for the classes, hero characters, and ships that you choose to play in multiplayer. If you earn enough experience points to gain a level for that unit, you’ll receive one Skill Point that can be used to unlock or upgrade the eligible Star Card you’d like to equip.

– You’ll keep everything you’ve already earned and unlocked. You will keep all of the Star Cards, heroes, weapons, or anything else you have already earned. What you have earned will still be available to use with this update regardless of how much or little progress you have already made.

– Crates no longer include Star Cards and cannot be purchased. Crates are earned by logging in daily, completing Milestones, and through timed challenges. Inside of these crates, you’ll find Credits or cosmetic items, such as emotes or victory poses, but nothing that impacts gameplay.

– Starting in April, you’ll be able to get appearances directly through in-game Credits or Crystals. The first new appearances are coming soon, meaning you’ll be able to grab new looks for your heroes and troopers directly by using either Credits (earned in-game) or Crystals (available to purchase in-game and through first-party stores). If you’ve ever dreamed of being a part of the Resistance as a Rodian, your chance is right around the corner.

Despite the lashing that this game took upon release, it’s safe to say that the developers are taking the feedback seriously. Are these changes enough to win players back over? Only time will tell…

TERA Console Beta Opens Again This Weekend

Last weekend, En Masse Entertainment held a very successful open beta for TERA on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and they’re doing it again this weekend! TERA will open to the public again on Friday, March 16 at 6:00 AM Pacific and will close on Saturday, March 17 at 9:00 PM Pacific.

Raiders of the Broken Planet’s Third Campaign Dated

Outnumbered and outgunned by General Krauser’s army, the Raiders’ only chance is to convince the mercenary outfit’s chief of security, Ayana Kwena, to betray the Hades Division and help defeat them from the inside, an impossible task for Harec and his allies.

Kingdom Come Deliverance Gets a Huge Update

Warhorse has announced that the latest patch for their acclaimed Kingdom Come Deliverance is now live on all platforms, and fixes hundreds of issues and bugs.

Despite its technical issues, the game was very well received across critics and fans alike, so news of a bulky patch to remedy these problems will no doubt go down well with the crowd. You can see the patch notes in their entirety right here.

New Gameplay Trailer for Arcade-Racing Game Trailblazers

Get your rocket engine running! The debut of Trailblazers, the revolutionary co-op racing game coming to all major consoles in May, has gamers very curious on how the racing strategies and tactics will work in different game modes.

Rising Star Games and Supergonk have revealed a brand-new adrenaline pumping trailer for their upcoming co-operative arcade racing game Trailblazers today. The latest trailer showcases players going head to head in co-operative matches online, and in local two and four player split screen.

Racing in teams of up to three-versus-three, players paint the track as they race, capturing key areas to dynamically change the racing line, then boosting on their team’s color.

Racers who drive with flair and style will also amass skill points to blaze their way to victory! Players can experience the blistering high-speed action with up to six players online, or locally via split-screen for up to four local players with additional online or CPU-controlled challengers.

Featuring a new Crate of the same name that can be obtained as a drop after some Online Matches, via unlock with ‘Flowers’ that you earn, or as a direct purchase through the Rocket League client (similar to buying Keys or Premium DLC Battle-Cars), the new event should be pretty awesome.

EVERSPACE Enhanced out now on Xbox One X

Overwatch’s Brigitte Launches Next Week

Blizzard has announced that Overwatch’s newest hero, Brigitte, will launch on March 20. Brigitte specializes in armor. She can throw Repair Packs to heal teammates, or automatically heal nearby allies when she damages foes with her Flail.

Her Flail is capable of a wide swing to strike multiple targets, or a Whip Shot that stuns an enemy at range. When entering the fray, Barrier Shield provides personal defense while she attacks enemies with Shield Bash. Brigitte’s ultimate ability, Rally, gives her a substantial short-term boost of speed and provides long-lasting armor to all her nearby allies. Not long to go until we can get hands on…
