Funcom Reveals First Gameplay From Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden

Funcom announced ‘Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden’ just a few weeks ago with a Cinematic Reveal Trailer that quickly made some significant ripples in the duck pond of the Internet.

The game, which is being developed by Bearded Ladies and published by Funcom, is set to release in 2018 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Players must take control of a team of unlikely heroes, such as Dux (a crossbow-wielding, walking, talking duck) and Bormin (a boar with serious anger issues), and help them navigate a post-human Earth with its abandoned cities, crumbling highways, and mutated monsters on every corner. The team behind the game includes former ‘HITMAN’ leads as well as Ulf Andersson, the designer of ‘PAYDAY’.

The game is based on the classic ‘Mutant’ IP that has spawned several popular pen and paper role-playing games since the 1980s, including the current ‘Mutant: Year Zero’ from Free League and Modiphius Entertainment.

LEGO The Incredibles Announced With New Trailer

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group, Disney and Pixar, today announced LEGO The Incredibles, a new video game where players take control of their favourite Incredibles characters in unforgettable scenes and action sequences from both Disney Pixar films, The Incredibles and the upcoming Incredibles 2.

The game encourages players to work together by combining the Parr family’s abilities and unique powers to conquer crime and family life in a LEGO world full of fun and humour. LEGO The Incredibles will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on 13th July 2018, the same day Incredibles 2 opens in theatres.

In the game, players explore action-packed story levels and an epic hub world, including Municiberg and Nomanisan Island, as they use their unique super abilities to bring the city’s villains to justice. Get a firsthand look below.

Sea of Thieves is Xbox One’s Fastest-Selling New First Party IP This Gen

It’s been announced that Sea of Thieves is Xbox One’s fastest selling new first party IP this gen, according to Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg. Before we sound the trumpets, let’s make one thing clear, it’s hardly stiff competition now, is it?

Don’t get me wrong, good news is indeed good news, but Microsoft has a talent for playing on words this gen. There’s no denying the success of the game, made apparent by its chart topping position in the UK. However, to boast a fastest selling new first party IP, when there’s really not much to contest it, is laughable.

On the other hand, the game has enjoyed over two million players in its first week, pulling in 500k new Xbox Live friendships in the process. Now that, is something to brag about…

The Witcher 3 Xbox One Patch adds HDR Support for Xbox One S

You may have noticed a mysterious update for The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt on Xbox One today. Well, it may have been a mystery at the time, but not so much anymore.

CD Projekt Red community lead Marcin Momot has confirmed on Twitter that the patch adds HDR support for the Xbox One S, and fixes a variety of bugs. You can check out the Tweet in question, right here.

DOOM 4K Console Update Arrives March 29

When DOOM launched, id Software focused on mixing cutting-edge graphics with relentless, fast-paced gameplay for users on all platforms. Thanks to a brand-new game update arriving on March 29, id is pushing the game’s graphics even further with the release of a new 4K resolution update.

At long last, you’ll be able to witness the power of the DOOM Slayer in stunning 4K on both PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X platforms. Every blast of the BFG, every demon glory kill and every chainsaw slice through a Mancubus can be experienced like never before on consoles. Whether you’re a new player or just eager to jump back into your Praetor Suit, you’re going to want to visit Hell to experience it for yourself.

Call of Duty: WWII Second DLC Pack Detailed and Dated

With The War Machine, Call of Duty: WWII’s second DLC, Sledgehammer Games has created a series of exciting new maps and experiences designed to take players to all-new theatres of war. Players will fight in an iconic World War II battle at Dunkirk, travel to a secret German V-2 rocket facility and push the battle across continents and into Egypt.

Players will also fight alongside their friends and foes in a new War Mode mission, co-developed with Raven Software, called Operation Husky, which includes a new gameplay mechanic – aerial dogfighting! And finally, there’s a brand-new, exciting chapter of Nazi Zombies that takes the Barbarossa storyline to an entirely new level.

The War Machine will launch first on PlayStation 4 on 10th April, and is expected to arrive one month later on Xbox One.

The Destiny 2 March Update (1.1.4) is Available Now

This update consists of a variety of changes to the Destiny 2 sandbox and Crucible, while also bringing with it unique Nightfall rewards. Players will now be able to enjoy a weekly rotating Crucible playlist, which contains 6v6 Iron Banner, Mayhem and Rumble.

Sandbox changes include faster super recharge, weapon buffs and balances, faster movement, increased power ammo drops, and more. You can check out the patch notes right here, or see the trailer at the head of this article for a quick glance at what’s new.

Far Cry 3 Classic Edition Release Date Announced

Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 3 Classic Edition will release on consoles on June 26th. However, those that purchased the Far Cry 5 Gold Edition or its Season Pass, will be able to download the game at no additional cost on May 29th.

Outside of Far Cry 5, Far Cry 3 is easily the best in the series. If you never got around to trying it out, now is as good a time as any to dive in.

Resident Evil 7 Xbox One X Patch Arrives Today

Resident Evil 7 biohazard is now updated and enhanced for Xbox One X. Enhancements include improved skin tone display through Screen-Space Subsurface Scattering and 4K output. You can witness this first hand via the new trailer below, or of course if you own the game and an Xbox One X.

There’s no denying that Resident Evil 7, despite its poor DLC, pulled the series back to form through some excellent storytelling and eerie environments. Let’s hope the next installation can follow suit…

JRPG Ys Origin Launches with Exclusive Content on Xbox One April 11th

Retro cult JRPG Ys Origin lands on Xbox One on April 11th marking the debut of the franchise on the Xbox platform. Featuring exclusive content for Xbox One players, Ys Origin fans will be able to play an all-new speedrun mode as well as a new ‘blood option’ which lets the players choose the blood quantity that best suits their gameplay tastes.

A new trailer released today showcases the first footage of Ys Origin’s speedrun mode, as well as several of the iconic bosses players will face as they conquer the Devil’s Tower. Launched in 2017 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita from developer and publisher Dotemu, Ys Origin quickly earned high review scores and fan praise for its authentic adaptation to current gamers.

In Ys Origin, it is 700 years before the events of Ys I & II, and the land of Ys was on the brink of destruction. Demons came in droves and forced the twin Goddesses who ruled the land to whisk their subjects away from the surface, into the safe embrace of the clouds. The demons were persistent, however, erecting a massive tower in pursuit. The battle that raged upon the ground had begun ascending for a second round up above.

The fast-paced action and epic boss battles will present fans with a unique vantage point of the earliest days of Ys and the new speedrun mode will allow players to share their results on Xbox Live leaderboards to compete for the fastest Ys Origin player in the world. Explore a deeply involved mystery and unlock secrets through creative puzzles as you trek through a memorable arcade-like platformer and unravel the engrossing story of Ys.

New ‘Path of Motus’ Trailer Released

Game designer Michael Hicks has released a new trailer for The Path of Motus, a game about bullying where words have the power to destroy. The game features a young goblin named Motus who is determined to build bridges through a forest his village is trapped in.

However, his perseverance is soon tested, as he meets bullies that use their own words to stop him. Motus will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam later this year. The new trailer reveals several new features, including a new character in the story: Motus’ father. At 6 years old, Motus’ attempt at bridge building is belittled by his father, who proclaims his creations as a “waste of time” and “unrealistic.”

As the story progresses, Motus will gradually grow into an adult and discover the deeper reasons for his father’s actions. This complicated father-son relationship is one of many opportunities where players can explore the motivations of others.

Part VII Jason Is Getting Some Enhancements In Friday The 13th: The Game

It’s no secret that Part VII Jason in Friday the 13th the Game is less “capable” than his other counterparts, but that’s all set to change according to the developer, who states:

We’ve seen a ton of feedback for a while now about Part 7 Jason being “underpowered” or “weak”, and while we agree that maybe his stats aren’t the best to encourage play over some of the other Jasons, we are not planning a complete reworking of the character. Even though we aren’t completely reworking the character, we do believe that a couple of tweaks to this character’s strengths and weaknesses will make for a better play experience.

This will no doubt please fans of the game, and as soon as we know when these changes will take effect, we’ll keep you in the loop.

PixARK will be available for $24.99 during the early access program. For the first week until April 3 however, Steam users will also be able to purchase at a 20% discount at $19.99.

“There is no better feedback than the input we receive from our passionate community of gamers,” said Peter Kang, director of live operations and business development, Snail Games. “It’s really important for us to get players in early to give us important feedback so that we can turn this into a game that everyone will love.”

In PixARK, a group of players wake up on a mysterious island, only to find themselves stranded. Sylvio 2 Is No Longer Coming to Xbox One

It’s been revealed that Sylvio 2 is no longer going to be coming to Xbox One, as confirmed by the developer this week. When asked on Twitter whether or not the game is still coming to the platform, Stroboskop replied:

That was the original plan. Sadly I had to pull the plug on porting to consoles for Sylvio 2, as the interest just wasn’t high enough.

Shame, really. Horror games are of high interest at the moment. Still, we can all but wish the developer the very bet moving forward.

Slime-san: Superslime Edition Coming to Console

Headup Games has announced that Slime-san: Superslime Edition is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The official description for the game reads:

Slime-san was minding his own business, sliming around in a peaceful forest when suddenly…A giant worm appeared and gobbled him up! Now deep within the worm’s belly, Slime-san has to face a decision: Be digested by the incoming wall of stomach acid… Or jump, slide and slime his way through the worms intestines and back out its mouth!

We’re not sure when exactly the game is set to arrive, but as soon as we do, we’ll be sure to keep each and every one of you in the loop.
