Kingdom Hearts 3’s English Speaking Voice Acting Has Began

James Woods has confirmed that the English speaking voice acting has began for the massively anticipated Kingdom Hearts 3, who is lending his talent to resume the iconic role of Hades.

When asked why he has been absent from the platform for so long, Woods replied by stating that he’d been playing poker and working on, you guessed it, the new Kingdom Hearts game.

Sure, this is hardly groundbreaking news, but we’ll take anything we can get our hands on. This does signify that we could be seeing an English trailer for the game during E3 2018, though until time comes to pass, we’ll have to leave that assumption on the… well, the assumption pile. Standby for more.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season Reveal Incoming

Telltale Games has announced that their final season of the acclaimed The Walking Dead will arrive later this year, with a reveal set to kick off the hype next week.

This first look will take place at PAX East on Friday 6th April at 12:30pm ET, to which we will of course keep each of you in the loop as soon as we have the intel. The artwork (seen here) suggests that this season will be set a number of years after A New Frontier, judging by the age of Clementine and AJ, and replicates that of the first season’s artwork, which featured Lee and Clementine. Standby for more.

Arc System Works is Teasing a New RPG Game

Arc System Works has launched a new website today, teasing a new RPG game that’s set to be revealed on April 1st. Details are thin on the ground at the moment, but we shall no doubt hear more about this the day after tomorrow.

It’s also worth taking into account that this teaser is set to be unleashed on April Fools day, but would Arc System Works play such a cruel prank on its followers? Only time will tell.

New Code Vein Gameplay Footage Released

Some new gameplay footage for Bandai’s upcoming Code Vein has been released today. Sure, it doesn’t showcase a great deal of stuff we haven’t already seen, but it’s good to see the game in action nevertheless.

Code Vein certainly continues to intrigue, and should most definitely be of interest to those of you that fancy a solid action-RPG. Here’s the game’s official description:

In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought collapse to the world as we know it. Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment. At the center of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with Gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood.

Give into the bloodlust fully and risk becoming one of the Lost, fiendish ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity. Wandering aimlessly in search of blood, the Lost will stop at nothing to satisfy their hunger. Team up and embark on a journey to the ends of hell to unlock your past and escape your living nightmare in Code Vein.

Code Vein is set to launch in 2018 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Everything we’ve seen so far points to a promising experience.

Monster Hunter World Details Spring Blossom Fest and More

Capcom has today detailed the upcoming events and content, coming to the critically acclaimed Monster Hunter: World, including the Spring Blossom Fest, which is set to arrive April 6th through April 20th.

We now know that the gathering hub in Astera will be decorated for the special occasion, and that all previously released timed-quests will make a return during the festival. This also includes the Street Fighter V and Horizon Zero Dawn challenge quests.

New gestures and chat icons will also be added, but can only be obtained through paid DLC. On top of this, login bonuses will be increased to two luck vouchers per-day rather than just one. This will come alongside the blossom voucher, and the previously teased special fireworks. Furthermore, specific facilities in Astera will get a boost, gifting players with some cool shopping-spree incentives.

In regards to the more hands-on content, a new nine star quest will be implemented, tasking fans to hunt Deviljho in the Ancient Forest. A seven-star event will commence for the Mega Man crossover content, in which players will need to hunt two Odagaron in the arena. Safe to say, there’s plenty to do. Check out the event schedule right here.

Sea of Thieves Tops the Australian Game Charts

On top of dominating the UK game charts this week, Sea of Thieves has also topped the Australian charts, fighting off some stiff competition such as Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered, A Way Out, and Attack on Titan 2.

There’s no denying that Sea of Thieves is doing well, wrapping up two million players in total during launch week alone, and forging more than 500k new Xbox Live friendships. However, the lack of content and repetitive nature of the game has left many wanting for more. Can Rare deliver? Only time will tell…

Attack on Titan 2 Predator Mode Arrives Today

Throwing the core format on its head, a new mode known as ‘Predator Mode’ is now available in Attack on Titan 2. In this mode, as seen below, up to four players will take on the role of the Titans, and will work to devour as many humans as possible within a set time.

Take too many humans in rapid succession, and you may find Eren jumping in to slice you apart. It certainly seems like a lot of fun, but don’t take my word for it, see it first hand for yourselves.

Shadow of War ‘Desolation of Mordor’ Expansion Arrives This May

It’s been officially revealed that Shadow of War’s ‘Desolation of Mordor’ Expansion will arrive on May 8th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Play as Baranor, the Captain of Minas Ithil and survivor of the city’s demise, in a new story expansion where players will command the forces of Man against a new Orc threat to the East. Unite with Torvin, the Dwarven Hunter, to craft powerful new combat gear, including the shield, gauntlet, chain and glider. Here’s the announcement in full.

Overwatch’s Uprising Event is Coming Back

Overwatch’s Uprising event is coming back on April 10th. Once again the Uprising brawl will focus on the origin of Tracer and the rest of the Overwatch crew. According to Blizzard, there will be over 100 loot box items to unlock that showcases the stories of the original OW members.

The event will, much like before, take place at King’s Row. Blizzard sent out a teaser Tweet, suggesting that there will be new archives to check out for this year’s version. What will this include? Well, it’s hard to say right now, but we don’t have that long to wait in the meantime.

The Division Xbox One X Update Coming April 12th

Ubisoft Massive has announced that The Division is set to get an Xbox One X update on April 12th, alongside new content such as two new Legendary Missions and two new Global Events.

We don’t know the specifics just yet, but we do know that the update will add 4K rendering, higher Anisotropic Filtering, screen-space shadows, object detail, and improved reflections. Safe to say, these improvements will go down well with those that enjoy the game.

The First Tree Comes to Console This Year

David Wehle announces that the emotional award-nominated narrative game The First Tree will be coming to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PS4 in late 2018. Wehle has enlisted the help of DO Games to complete the ports. More details such as pricing and an exact release dates will be announced later.

The game follows the stories of two interconnected beings: one of a fox looking for her missing cubs, and another of a son reconnecting with his estranged father in Alaska. Players take control of the fox on a poignant and beautiful journey that crescendos at the source of life, and perhaps result in an understanding of death.

Along the way, players can uncover artifacts and stories from the son’s life as he becomes intertwined in the fox’s journey towards The First Tree. Check out the original trailer at the head of this post.
