Fortnite: Battle Royale Map Update Arrives Next Week

It’s been announced that Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode is set to get a map update next week, marking the first major update of 2018. Little is known about the specifics, but according to the video in the below accompanying announcement Tweet, we’ll be getting quite a few changes to look forward to.

Eric Williamson discusses the upcoming changes in brief detail, but does go on to mention that fans will get to enjoy refined biomes, a new city area, newly named areas on the west side of the map, and quality of life changes. Holiday trees will be heading out when the update arrives, but Williamson assures us that we’ll be seeing other seasonal additions in the future.

Fortnite is easily one of the best free-to-play games on Xbox One, and seamlessly contends with the likes of PUBG in the process. If you’ve yet to try it out, I highly recommend giving it a go. Stay tuned and as soon as we know more about the map changes, we’ll let you know.
