Michel Ancel has taken to his social media feeds and has stated that once work is complete on Beyond Good and Evil 2, he plans to bring back Rayman, going on to say:
Yesterday, I met Rayman for real, in a second-hand store. Far from his time of glory, looking ahead for some help. Pathetic. After Wild, after BGE2, we’ll need to bring him back again … for his fourth adventure! Don’t let heroes die.
Whilst this is years away, the wording is especially interesting. Rayman has had more than four games, so we can only assume that by ‘fourth adventure’ Ancel is referring to a direct sequel. Nothing is set in stone of course, but it’s good to know that a new journey is on the table.
